Dalmunach is one of Scotland's newest and most contemporary distilleries, built in 2014 by Pernod Ricard. This 2015 TCaH represents a vibrant young expression from this innovative producer. At a robust 57.9% ABV, it delivers an intense and characterful profile that showcases the spirit of Speyside. The nose reveals fresh and fruity notes alongside pronounced vanilla and cake-like sweetness. On the palate, salty caramel, walnuts, and candied citrus peel emerge, supported by a nicely oily, creamy body where the alcohol is well controlled. The finish is warm and lingering, though some tasters suggest this whisky would have benefited from additional maturation time. An intriguing bottling that demonstrates the potential of this young distillery.
