Linkwood's 2010 vW is a refined single malt from Speyside, bottled by van Wees at 46% ABV. This whisky showcases an elegant balance between fruity sweetness and subtle wood influence, with characteristic Speyside traits developed through ex-bourbon maturation. The profile is marked by rich fruit notes, vanilla and caramel with hints of ginger and cinnamon that pleasantly spice the palate. On the nose, complex aromas unfold with vanilla, citrus notes and a whisper of sea salt, complemented by honeysuckle and floral hints. On the palate, the whisky is full and mouth-coating, displaying white wine-like qualities, floral character and tannins from wood aging.
