Ardnamurchan AD/09.22 is a cask strength single malt from Scotland's western Highlands, blending peated and unpeated whisky matured in bourbon and sherry casks. This distinctive expression combines 40 ex-bourbon casks of peated whisky with 10 ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks of unpeated spirit, creating a sophisticated and layered character. The nose reveals maritime smoke that quickly retreats to unveil vanilla custard, lemon peel, and sweet dough notes with saline undertones. On the palate, coastal peat mingles with ripe summer berries, warm oak, and gentle peppery spice. The finish is lengthy and maritime, with bitter oak, ashy smoke, vanilla, and citrus juice lingering on the tongue.
