About
Linkwood is a distinguished Speyside distillery in Scotland with roots dating back to 1821, located in the town of Elgin. This 2010 vW bottling, independently released by Van Wees, showcases the refined character of this classic distillery. After 18 years of maturation, this single malt has developed into a well-rounded and complex expression. The nose greets you with inviting sweet notes of honey and vanilla, complemented by citrus zest and delicate floral hints. On the palate, the whisky reveals its richness with caramel and toffee, layered with warm spice notes of ginger and cinnamon. The finish is soft yet distinctive, driven by gentle woody and spicy notes with a subtle bitter edge and hints of dried citrus. A balanced, approachable dram that rewards both neat sipping and thoughtful exploration.
