Frysk Hynder 2016 is a distinctive Dutch single malt whisky from Us Heit Distillery in Friesland, crafted from 100% malt sourced from their own malthouse. This six-year-old expression embodies Frisian character: powerful, self-willed, and beautifully presented. The spirit undergoes a unique production method where whisky beer is first brewed without the addition of hops. The nose reveals an intriguing blend of drinking chocolate, marzipan, and tropical fruit notes, complemented by honey and caramel undertones. The palate delivers a full, liqueur-like experience with toffee, ginger, and sweet spice notes in harmonious balance. The finish is long and pleasantly sweet, with lingering chocolate and caramel characteristics that fade gracefully.
