About

Miltonduff is a traditional Speyside distillery with a storied heritage, situated on the Black Burn near Elgin. This 2007 PDnl is a robust, non-chill-filtered single malt bottled at cask strength (63.6%) after 11 years of maturation in an ex-Clynelish sherry hogshead. The result is a complex, full-bodied expression that showcases the distillery's character. The nose is powerful and multifaceted, revealing ripe autumn fruit, dried stone fruits, and subtle spice notes reminiscent of allspice and speculoos. On the palate, dried fruits take centre stage alongside warming spice, honey, and hints of marzipan and milk chocolate, with caramel and toasted almond adding richness. The alcohol is notably present, delivering a mouth-coating intensity. The finish is dry and dusty, with malty undertones and a lingering vanilla fade.
