About
Glen Elgin is a Speyside single malt celebrated for its approachable character and fruity elegance. This 2012 PDnl, matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead, showcases classic Speyside qualities with a soft, full-bodied structure. At bottling, this whisky had enjoyed 11 years of rest, resulting in a well-balanced and mature expression. The nose is dominated by bourbon cask influence with rich vanilla, honey, and warming spice notes like nutmeg. Citrus fruit and blood orange add brightness to the profile. On the palate, a soft, malty character emerges with fruity sweetness, honeyed tones, and subtle oak spices. The finish is medium-length with an oily mouthfeel, where malty notes and spices define the finale.
