Liber is a premium Spanish single malt whisky produced by the distillery of the same name in Padul, near Granada. This 12-year-old expression was matured in ex-solera Pedro Ximénez casks and bottled at cask strength by the Spanish Whisky Club. The result is a full-bodied, complex whisky with rich sweetness and refined oak influence. The nose reveals a fragrant, clean character with cereal and malt aromas. On the palate, a lovely creamy arrival emerges with notes of raw sugar and Scottish tablet, followed by a significant hit of chili pepper and light herbal notes. Vanilla, caramel, nuts, and marzipan round out the profile. The finish lingers with molasses and grape jelly, complemented by the warmth of its cask strength delivery.
