About

Williamson 2014 Arc is a compelling single malt from Laphroaig, bottled by Archives as part of their renowned 'Fishes of Samoa' series. This powerful, youthful eight-year-old expression showcases the characteristic heavy peat smoke and medicinal notes that define Islay whisky. At 64.8% ABV, it's an unfiltered, intense dram that reveals the raw character of the distillery. The nose presents a complex profile: big bonfires, ash, and charcoal aplenty, interwoven with sweet honey and vanilla notes. The palate delivers an oily, creamy body with pronounced peaty, medicinal character, enriched by sesame and pistachio oil that add richness and lift. Subtle citrus accents and cookie dough sweetness balance the smoke. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering smoky and sweet notes that fade gradually.
