Scarlett Marzipan is a refined blended malt whisky from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, where Speyside and Highland characters harmoniously converge. This 10-year-old expression is fully matured in sherry-seasoned casks, creating a rich and complex whisky with a perfect balance between first-fill and refill wood influences. The nose reveals enticing aromas of marzipan, dried apricots, and cherry syrup, followed by hints of desiccated coconut and butterscotch. On the palate, concentrated fruit preserves of plum and apricot dominate, complemented by notes of smoked almonds, leather, and raisins. The finish is warm and persistent, with lingering sherry notes and subtle sweet nuances that gradually fade, leaving a satisfying warmth.
