Staoisha is Bunnahabhain's peated expression, produced on Islay by a distillery traditionally celebrated for its unpeated whiskies. This 2013 release from Meadowside Blending presents a full-bodied, oily character with a compelling balance of sweet and saline notes. A punchy, smoky whisky with added sweetness that rewards exploration. On the nose and palate, distinctive smoke mingles with tar, honey, and lemon peel, complemented by briny minerality. The whisky's thick texture and well-integrated alcohol make it highly drinkable despite its cask strength.
