This 2016 bottling matured in a second-fill bourbon cask with lightly peated character, delivering a complex and refined whisky at an impressive 64.5% ABV. The marriage of Japanese distilling excellence and American oak influence creates a whisky that bridges tradition and innovation. The nose reveals bright, fruity character with tropical hints and subtle yoghurt notes that evolve gracefully with aeration. On the palate, a creamy, almost buttery mouthfeel unfolds, enriched with vanilla, manuka honey, and whispers of white pepper complementing pronounced tropical pineapple notes.
