Williamson is a rare Islay single malt bottled by the esteemed Berry Bros & Rudd. This 11-year-old whisky spent two years finishing in a Moscatel cask, adding a distinctive sweet dimension to its characterful Islay intensity. At a robust 60.9% ABV, it delivers a complex and beautifully balanced experience. The nose reveals layers of muscovado sugar and dried fruits, refined by bright citrus zest and lime. On the palate, a thick, chewy mouthfeel develops with savoury notes of charred brisket and lightly smoked prosciutto, complemented by tropical fruit and a whisper of iodine. The Moscatel finish adds syrupy sweetness that elegantly counterbalances earthy peat and briny sea spray. The finish lingers with integrated smoke, toffee, and a lingering maritime character.
