Old Rhosdhu is a rare Highland Single Malt from the versatile Loch Lomond distillery, produced around 2000. This 27-year-old expression, distilled in 1994, is highly sought after by collectors for its scarcity and quality. The whisky presents itself as a rich, beautifully balanced dram with excellent body and creamy texture that requires no water to enjoy. The nose reveals delightful aromas with tropical fruit character. On the palate, tropical notes develop richly—juicy mango and quince—alongside creamy vanilla, toffee, and soft earthy spices, with slivered almonds adding depth. The finish is quite long and smooth, delivering vanilla cream, wax, ripe tropical fruit, ginger, and cinnamon, with the 48% ABV providing perfect firmness and structure.
