Dallas Dhu 1975 is a rare Speyside Single Malt that has matured with remarkable dignity over three decades. Bottled by Signatory Vintage, this bourbon-cask-aged whisky represents a vanishing chapter in Scottish whisky history—Dallas Dhu distillery closed in 1983, making every bottle a precious archive of its sophisticated character. The nose and palate reveal a whisky of considerable depth and refinement. Nose: Intensely concentrated with pear, vanilla, and melon, complemented by green apple, toffee, and subtle banana notes. Palate: Oily and textured, delivering juicy stone fruit, tart citrus peel, and tropical hints underpinned by honeyed sweetness and delicate meringue. Finish: Sweet and rounded, with mineral backbone and a whisper of peat smoke that lingers gracefully.
