Aultmore 1981 Centenary is a rare limited-edition bottling from 1981, released to celebrate the distillery's 100th anniversary (1897-1997). This 16-year-old Speyside single malt matured in sherry casks presents a full-bodied, richly sherried whisky with impressive cask strength at 63% ABV. The nose reveals intense mature fruit character with boozy raisins and prominent sherry influence. On the palate, sweet and sticky sherry notes dominate, complemented by wood tannins, sour berries, and subtle herbaceous hints of bay leaf. The finish is long and lingering, with persistent sweet sherry notes that define this distinguished dram.
