About

This exceptional 1974 Ayrshire represents a rare gem from the Lowlands, produced at the celebrated Ladyburn distillery. After 36 years maturing in first fill bourbon barrels, it has achieved a remarkable balance between elegance and depth. The nose reveals a refined pudding-like sweetness with pear as the dominant note, complemented by vanilla and a subtle peach character. The palate offers a harmonious blend of tropical fruit notes—mango and banana—alongside white pepper and honey, while the finish displays ripe apples, pears, and nuts. This is a whisky for the connoisseur who appreciates aged, nuanced single malts with excellent provenance.
