Matured for ten years in European oak and sherry hogsheads, this SMWS expression has developed a rich, full-bodied character. The nose reveals an enticing tapestry of dried red fruits, honey, and subtle spice notes with hints of licorice and white pepper. The palate is where this whisky truly shines: a harmonious blend of dark chocolate, toffee, and rich ginger cake, supported by fine wood tannins and warming spice. The mouthfeel is oily and silky, with prominent notes of plums, figs, and a touch of leather. The finish is long and dry, with lingering black pepper, raisins, walnuts, and a pleasant woody dryness.
