This refined Speyside single malt from Signatory Vintage was matured for 11 years in first-fill Bolgheri red wine hogsheads from Tuscany, creating a distinctive marriage of Scottish whisky tradition and Italian wine influence. Part of their limited Small Batch Collection, this bottling showcases the complexity that emerges when quality spirit meets premium wine cask maturation. The nose reveals layers of dark berries, blackberry, and black cherry, complemented by warming spice notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, rich sherry sweetness takes centre stage, balanced by charred oak and earthy undertones that reflect the Tuscan wine cask's character. The finish is warm and lingering, with persistent dark fruit and subtle spice that gradually fades, leaving a satisfying warmth.
