Oerfrysk Single Malt is a distinctive Dutch whisky from Friesland, born from a passion project that honours traditional Frisian barley varieties alongside modern distilling craft. Matured across three different cask types — ex-bourbon, new American oak, and ex-sherry — this young single malt develops a complex and intriguing character. At just three years of age, Oerfrysk demonstrates that quality and depth need not demand decades of maturation. On the nose, this whisky reveals white fruit, dried fruit, and subtle sherry notes, complemented by gentle grain character. The palate brings forward apple and grain flavours, supported by pleasant oak influence.
