Fractal Peatreek is a refined 24-year-old single malt from the Highlands, released by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This well-matured whisky strikes an elegant balance between gentle peat smoke and sophisticated sweetness. After more than two decades of maturation, this malt has developed impressive complexity and depth. The nose reveals layers of smoked honey, ginger wine notes, and delicate peat smoke, complemented by herbal tea-like characteristics and olive oil. On the palate, a pleasant confectionery sweetness emerges alongside citrus and crisp green apple notes, with hints of gentle smoke. Adding water brings further elegance, unveiling leafy, herbal profiles with subtle touches of salted treacle and spice. The finish is long and intense, a testament to the maturation and quality of this distinguished whisky.
