Inaugural 6 Year Old 48.2% 2026
About
Aberargie's inaugural single malt represents a promise of craft and heritage. This Scottish whisky hails from the Morrison family, five generations of whisky makers who cultivate their own grain varieties on a 300-acre farm in Perthshire. The mash bill contains 52% heritage Golden Promise barley, embodying a romantic farm-to-bottle ethos. After six years of maturation in equal parts first-fill bourbon and first-fill sherry casks, a characterful, well-crafted dram emerges with compelling balance between fruit and spice. The nose reveals stewed apple, sweetened lemon juice, and honeyed cereals, complemented by sherry-driven aromas of raisins, toasted nuts, and yellow plum. On the palate, the whisky is full and spicy, with red apples, pears, and subtle grassy notes. Vanilla and pepper add complexity, while prominent barley character and hints of brown bread provide structure. The finish is medium in length, marked by dark chocolate, wood spice, and cereal notes.
