About
Tomatin's 16-year-old single malt is a refined Highland whisky that draws its character from maturation in Portuguese Moscatel wine barriques. This expression strikes an elegant balance between the distillery's fruity nature and the sweet, wine-forward influences of its cask maturation. The result is a whisky with rich, layered flavours that feel both classic and intriguing. The nose reveals aromatic notes of orange marmalade, sun-dried fruits, and subtle floral accents. On the palate, sweet and fruity flavours emerge, complemented by hints of ginger and spice, supported by a soft, malty foundation. The finish is warm and pleasant, with lingering notes of toffee and oak that gradually fade.
