After 32 years of patient maturation in a refill hogshead, this whisky has developed an unconventional profile that departs from classical Speyside character. Bottled at a robust 62.4% ABV, this unique cask offers a complex and intriguing experience for collectors. The nose presents an unusual composition of citrus notes, white grapes, and green tea, complemented by hints of cider apples and honeysuckle. On the palate, pineapple and peach lead the way, followed by green leafy notes and fragrant spice—cinnamon and clove build progressively, with lemon zest and assertive woody characteristics. The finish is quite long, dominated by fresh oak spice and unripe pear. A well-aged expression with pronounced oak influence that somewhat overshadows the typical Speyside fruitiness.
