This exceptional 30-year-old Springbank represents the pinnacle of maturation from Campbeltown's historic distillery. After three decades in bourbon and sherry casks, this single malt has developed a refined, mature character balancing richness with finesse. The heavy smoke has largely faded, revealing subtle mineral and spicy complexity that speaks to its age and careful cask management. The nose opens with soft candle smoke and manuka honey, evolving through mineral oils, heather, and orange peel with hints of eucalyptus. The palate delivers walnuts, delicate tobacco, and crystallised honey alongside mineral notes and salted butter, with citrus peel and herbal tea emerging mid-palate. The finish is moderate and warming, with spicy oak tones, black pepper, and tobacco leaves providing a dignified conclusion to this mature expression.
