About
Isle of Tiree represents a historic revival of Hebridean whisky-making tradition. After more than two centuries of silence, this remote distillery on Scotland's Inner Hebrides has released its inaugural single malt. Cask E7, matured in ex-bourbon quarter casks, marks a significant milestone for the island and a remarkable addition to Scotland's whisky heritage. The nose reveals spicy and waxy character with peppery notes and a distinctive struck match quality—a compelling profile shaped by the quarter cask's influence. On the palate, a medium body unfolds with slight viscosity, delivering spicy and waxy flavours alongside hints of varnish and vinous notes. The finish remains dry and herbal, with lingering spice that gradually subsides, leaving a distinctive impression of this island's unique terroir.
