Scallywag 18-Year-Old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask 18y

About

Scallywag 18-Year-Old Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask is a limited edition release from Douglas Laing & Co. that reveals the mature, indulgent side of this beloved Speyside malt. After 18 years of maturation, with its final years spent in premium Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Jerez, Spain, this whisky delivers decadent sweetness and remarkable depth that perfectly complements Scallywag's signature sherried character. Bottled at 46% ABV, this strictly limited run of 2,610 bottles offers collectors and whisky enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience the brand at extended age. On the palate, opulent notes of dark chocolate truffles, spiced orange peel and toasted walnuts unfold into treacle toffee and black cherries, warmed by a whisper of cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, dry-fruity and spicy with lingering sweetness. Oak spice, espresso and dried figs create a rewarding, memorable conclusion that showcases the elegant complexity achieved through extended maturation in premium PX casks.
