About

The Glenrothes 31 Year Old Marriage of Casks is an exceptional single malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland, bottled by Elixir Distillers as part of the Single Malts of Scotland series. This whisky is a blend of two distinguished casks: a 1989 hogshead and a 1990 sherry butt, resulting in a complex and refined dram. Aged for 31 years, it offers depth and character. Upon opening, rich aromas of prunes, raisins, and blackberries emerge, intertwined with subtle balsamic and sweet coffee notes. The palate is dark and full-bodied, featuring blackcurrant, black tea, and dried orange peels, complemented by dark chocolate, tobacco, and clove. The finish is long and intricate, with dark fruits, grassy hints, and bitter coffee. An excellent choice for lovers of heavily sherried whiskies.
