Hedonism is Compass Box's original blended grain Scotch, pioneering the category when it launched in 2000. The 2026 limited edition marks a significant evolution: it introduces The Muse—Scottish actor Karen Gillan—and a substantially revised recipe. Angela D'Orazio, Compass Box's director of whisky making, brought Port Dundas single grain (matured entirely in refill sherry casks) into the blend alongside stock from the closed Port Dundas Distillery and earlier Hedonism vintages. The result is silken and layered, with caramel, butterscotch, and polished oak anchored by a restrained sherry influence. The nose shows dried fruit and spice; the palate mirrors this warmth with hints of coffee and molasses. A medium-length finish, gently drying.
