Collaboration Drop 01 With Starward

Virgin OakRed Wine CaskBourbon Barrel

About

Turntable Spirits, the Glasgow blending house founded by Ally Stevenson, marked its inaugural collaboration with Australian Starward Distillery with Collaboration Drop 01. From day one, the plan was always to unite whiskies from both countries. The blend is led by Starward (39%), matured in ex-red wine casks, joined by Caol Ila, Inchgower, and North British—each contributing its own character. The composition honours two whisky traditions: Starward brings ripeness and fruit-forward appeal, while the Scottish components add smoky texture and backbone. The interplay of ex-wine casks and virgin oak creates a lengthy finish with subtle tannic influence. On the nose, ripe banana and red berries lead, followed by bonfire smoke drifting on a sea breeze. The palate delivers waves of sugared red fruit and berries, coconut notes, and a persistent smoke that refuses to fade. The finish stretches long, with citrus brightness and caramel warmth anchoring the experience.
