Compass Box launched Hedonism in 2000 as its debut expression and the world's first blended grain Scotch whisky—a radical move in a malt-dominated landscape. This 2025 edition continues that legacy with a precise blend: Cameronbridge (61.1%), Girvan (10.1%), and older Hedonism batches (28.8%), paired with a label designed by Argentine artist Sofia Bonati. Since 2024, Compass Box has commissioned female artists annually to reinterpret the bottle, making Hedonism a meeting point of whisky and visual art. Hedonism challenges convention. Where grain whisky often plays a supporting role, this expression claims centre stage, proving what pure grain distillation can achieve. The nose opens with waves of caramel and icing sugar, followed by peach purée, pear drops, and cocoa nibs. On the palate, vanilla and toffee lead, dancing with pastry cream and a whisper of toasted oak—soft, silky, never heavy. Grain whisky not as compromise, but as vision.
