The Vital Spark takes its name from the famous Clyde puffer of Scottish literature — a coastal vessel that sailed the River Clyde in the 1930s, carrying whisky barrels and coal. This 18-year-old single malt is bottled by The Maltman, Meadowside Blending's independent bottler based in Glasgow, whose founders personally select each cask.

Bottled at cask strength (52.1%), this heavily peated whisky retains the full character of the spirit. The marriage of age and smoke creates a whisky of considerable depth and intensity.
