Despite its brief history, Kavalan has captivated the world with its full-bodied and complex whiskies. The name Kavalan is derived from an ancient tribe in the Yilan province, highlighting the whisky's authentic Taiwanese roots. This whisky, with its beautiful dark amber color, is the flagship of the distillery. On the nose, this whisky delivers a rich and sweet experience with tropical fruits like mango, complemented by hints of honey. The palate continues with these tropical themes, featuring notes of mango and coconut, alongside a subtle vanilla sweetness. The whisky also carries a light spiciness that beautifully complements the flavors. The finish is long and refined, with a hint of citrus and a touch of chocolate.
