Frysk Hynder - Port Cask is a distinctive expression from Us Heit Distillery, located in Friesland, Netherlands. As pioneers in the Dutch whisky industry, Us Heit introduced the first Dutch whisky in 2005. Frysk Hynder is renowned for its refined maturation process in ex-Port casks, which imparts a characteristic pink to purplish hue to the whisky. This distillery, utilizing locally grown and malted barley, produces around 10,000 high-quality bottles annually. This single malt whisky offers a rich aromatic experience. The nose presents sweet notes of caramel and vanilla, complemented by fruity elements and a hint of malt. On the palate, a complex flavor profile unfolds with hints of chocolate and spices, transitioning into a warm, spicy finish. The finish is medium in length, leaving a lasting impression.
