AnCnoc's 125th Anniversary Edition is a special limited release celebrating Knockdhu Distillery's heritage. This 16-year-old single malt, matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength (56.3%), delivers a full, complex experience. The whisky combines classic Speyside character with a warming, robust body where the higher alcohol content is well-integrated rather than aggressive. The nose reveals enticing aromas of vanilla, honey, and citrus fruits, with subtle hints of coconut cream and aniseed. The palate develops soft orchard fruits—honeydew melon, strawberry, and lemon—complemented by creamy vanilla custard notes and warming spice. The finish is pleasantly long, with lingering spicy warmth and a subtle sweet undertone. A well-crafted dram that knows exactly what it delivers.
