Currach is Origin Spirits' flagship expression, an Irish distillery built on a 'field-to-bottle' ethos. The name draws from a traditional Irish boat, and that maritime thread runs through every release. This Wakame Seaweed was distilled in 2015 from 100% Irish malted barley, triple-distilled and matured in American oak. The distinctive element: finishing in casks made from Atlantic Wakame, a green seaweed hand-harvested sustainably from the Irish coast.

This is intentional craft, not novelty. The seaweed imparts a mineral, iodine-driven character rarely found in standard Irish single malts. The nose carries sea-breeze aromatics alongside salt and vegetal notes. The palate reveals an intriguing interplay of malt, pepper, and that defining seaweed signature, anchored by subtle caramel sweetness.
