1973 Silent Ambassador 48y

About

The Invergordon 48 Years Old 1973 Silent Ambassador is a distinguished single grain whisky from the Highlands of Scotland. Distilled in July 1973 and bottled in July 2021, this whisky represents nearly half a century of maturation. With only 36 bottles available, it is a rare find for true whisky aficionados. It has an ABV of 41.1% and is part of the 'Fairy Tale Collection No.1', providing a narrative of its own. In terms of taste, this Invergordon delivers a rich and complex experience. The nose reveals notes of watermelon, apricot, and French cavaillon melon, with a subtly integrated woodiness. On the palate, it is soft and creamy, featuring hints of fruit such as apple and pineapple, interspersed with a touch of mint and fresh coconut. The finish is pleasant and mild, with a lingering sweetness and a hint of vanilla.
