Ardbeg Scorch is a special limited edition bottling released in 2021 to celebrate Ardbeg Day and the Feis Ile Festival. Named after a legendary dragon said to wreak havoc in Warehouse No. 3—scorching cask covers and charring wooden staves—this expression perfectly embodies its fiery mythology through maturation in heavily charred bourbon casks. The nose reveals an intriguing balance of sweetness and smoke, with bright citrus, aniseed, and tropical fruit notes (pineapple and mango) mingling with intense peat smoke and woody spice. On the palate, Scorch delivers bold, spicy minerality with fresh oak and honey, alongside pronounced iodine character.
