Johnett is the Swiss single malt from Etter Söhne AG, a family-owned distillery established in Zug in 1870. Paul Etter founded the operation nearly 150 years ago, and the name remains synonymous with carefully crafted spirits made from regional ingredients. This 2008 vintage matured in the cool, humid microclimate of the Höllgrotten caves, using ex-Pinot Noir casks from the Rosenau winery — an unconventional choice that shapes the whisky's distinctive profile.

The spirit balances a soft, malty foundation with subtle influences from its red wine cask maturation. On the nose, fruity and caramel notes emerge alongside a gentle smokiness. The palate is pleasantly round and intense, with fruity sweetness and toffee-like depth. The finish is long and clean.
