About
GlenDronach, renowned for its rich, sherry-matured whiskies, offers a unique nod to history with the Traditionally Peated expression. In the 19th century, it was common to dry barley with peat, resulting in a smoky whisky. The GlenDronach Traditionally Peated pays homage to this tradition, expertly crafted by Master Blender Rachel Barrie. This single malt is matured in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and port casks, delivering a complex flavor profile. On the nose, this whisky presents a harmonious blend of toffee, dark honey, and charcoal-smoked barley. The palate reveals burnt oranges and syrup, accompanied by raisins and a touch of peat. The finish offers a subtle smokiness with hints of coconut and grain. This whisky is best enjoyed neat, allowing all the layers of flavor to fully unfold.
