Single Pot Still Pinot Noir Cask
This limited edition emerges from a family collaboration spanning two continents. Johnny Neill, owner of Samuel Gelston's, partnered with his cousin Sam Neill—yes, the actor—who owns a vineyard in New Zealand and supplied the pinot noir casks for finishing. The story traces back to 1830, when Samuel Gelston, a Belfast wine and whiskey merchant, founded the business; this bottling honours that heritage by bridging two whiskey traditions.
Triple-distilled using the Irish Single Pot Still method, the spirit spent 22 months maturing in ex-bourbon casks before undergoing a lengthy 21–27 month finish in French oak from Neill's vineyard. This extended secondary maturation shapes the whiskey's full, sweet character.
