Soft fruity pineapple on syrup, mandarin on syrup, dead-nettle nectar, citrus, sweet vanilla powdered sugar Bourbon cask Integrated alcohol Cookie dough Barely cask bitterness This bottle has been open for a while, so any sharp edges have worn off. But I remember liking it immediately, not too complicated, sweet and a specific Pulteney vanilla-citrus freshness. This is like a fruit candy. Little bite from the 40% alcohol. I keep thinking of those orange ice lollies with vanilla ice cream sticking out underneath. A nice beginner whisky, without much depth but with an amusing play of sweet and sour. This is one of the cheaper 12-year-old single malts, 40%, filtered, caramel coloring added. No biting character traits anywhere but a singular character. Nice!
