Turas Math No. 2 is a rare distillery exclusive from Bunnahabhain, released for Feis Ile 2025. This robust single malt was matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished in scarce Palo Cortado sherry casks, creating a complex and refined whisky. Bunnahabhain is renowned for producing distinctive, unpeated Islay single malts, and this expression showcases the distillery's full character and strength. The nose reveals rich honeyed hazelnut notes, complemented by orange marmalade and subtle fruity character. The palate presents layers of fig and cedarwood, supported by wild honey and a briny maritime quality characteristic of Islay. The finish offers a lengthy, complex experience with peach skin, golden raisin, and a gentle thread of sea spray that perfectly complements the Palo Cortado finish, creating a harmonious balance between sweetness and coastal minerality.
