Turntable Spirits Unveils Track.01: Joy.Discovery.Invention

Turntable Spirits launches Track.01: Joy.Discovery.Invention, a Scottish blended whisky inspired by the eponymous Biffy Clyro track. This limited release is the first installment in a complete "album" of six whiskies. The name is no coincidence: founders Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson attended school with the band members and crafted this release to embody joy, discovery, and invention in their whisky-making philosophy.

Cask Composition and Production

The blend masterfully combines four distinct casks into a sophisticated profile. Knockdhu Chinkapin Barrel (17%) contributes vanilla notes, while Linkwood Virgin Oak Barrel (40%) forms the foundation with toffee character. Girvan Ex Red Wine Barrel (24%) adds red summer fruits, and Strathclyde Ex Cognac Barrel (19%) completes the composition with pineapple notes. Bottled at 46% ABV—coincidentally the exact chart position the Biffy Clyro track achieved in Scotland.

Tasting Profile

Track.01 delivers a refined tasting experience with fresh fruit and citrus on the nose, followed by vanilla and toffee. The palate reveals dried fruit, tropical fruit, caramel, and toffee notes.
