Distilled in 1987, this remarkable whisky has aged for nearly four decades. It began its maturation in European oak casks seasoned with sherry in Jerez, Spain, and then finished in American ex-bourbon barrels. This cask combination symbolizes the journey of the cask across continents, and the whisky is bottled at natural color with an ABV of 45.2%.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, creamy vanilla is followed by caramelized peaches and deep oak, with freshness from tropical pineapple and soft citrus aromas like pink grapefruit. The palate is dominated by antique oak, orange oil, and berry compote, with nectarine, charred pineapple, and hints of leather, complemented by a touch of lemon tart sweetness. The finish is long and warm, featuring wood spice, tropical fruit, and the sweetness of lingering sultana.
