The GlenAllachie unveils an exceptional 35-year-old Speyside single malt, masterfully crafted by legendary Master Blender Billy Walker. This cask strength expression (50.2% ABV) marries four distinguished cask types – Mizunara virgin oak, American virgin oak, Oloroso sherry, and Pedro Ximénez sherry – into a harmonious symphony of flavour.

Production and Composition

This whisky represents the culmination of more than five decades of Billy Walker's expertise in cask selection and blending. At its heart lies Mizunara virgin oak – a rare Japanese oak sourced from 200-year-old trees. This notoriously challenging wood is renowned for its delicate balance and remarkable complexity. By uniting Mizunara with the richness of Oloroso, the opulence of Pedro Ximénez, and the warmth of American oak, Walker creates an extraordinary expression. Bottled at cask strength without chill filtration or added colouring, this whisky offers an uncompromising experience as close as possible to sampling straight from the cask.

Tasting Notes

The nose reveals mocha, caramel, toffee and honey with peppery dried spices and ginger. The palate presents dried fruits, tropical fruit, vanilla, caramel, honey and coconut, complemented by oak and spice. The finish delivers dried fruit, caramel, honey, coconut and pepper.
