Mossburn and Domaine Dupont: A Cross-Channel Collaboration

The second release in the Mossburn Cask Collaboration Series unites two renowned producers: Scottish blender Mossburn and Normandy's legendary Calvados house Domaine Dupont, crafting spirits since 1887. This distinctive partnership merges two distinct whisky traditions into a sophisticated blended malt that showcases the best of both worlds.

The whisky draws from twelve-year-old single malts sourced from four Speyside distilleries, initially matured in American oak hogsheads before finishing in French oak casks previously used for Calvados and Pommeau. Bottled at 57.2% ABV without chill filtration or added colour, this release retains its full character and complexity.

Tasting Profile

The nose reveals fresh fruit, citrus and almond notes with peppery spice undertones. The palate develops with fresh fruit, citrus and caramel, complemented by ginger and sherried characteristics. The finish balances fresh fruit, caramel and peppery dryness. This profile reflects the Master Distiller's vision: marrying the spicy florality of Speyside malts with the baked apple and oaky spice contributed by the Calvados casks.
