Daftmill unveils the 2012 Winter Batch, one of the smallest releases in the distillery's history. This 12-year-old Lowland single malt marries 7 first fill ex-bourbon casks with 5 oloroso and PX sherry casks, yielding a limited global release of just 3,475 bottles. Bottled at 46% ABV, this non-chill-filtered expression showcases the distillery's commitment to quality and complexity.

Crafted entirely from Concerto barley, the whisky benefits from a carefully considered cask regime that balances bourbon's elegance with sherry's richness. The combination of first fill ex-bourbon and premium sherry casks creates a fruit-forward profile that defines Daftmill's signature style.

Tasting Profile

On the nose, caramelised pineapple, red fruits, vanilla, and honey emerge alongside hazelnut and almond notes. The palate delivers citrus and kiwi alongside honeyed vanilla and caramel. The finish is distinctive: a subtle salty edge reminiscent of salted caramel fudge precedes lingering sweetness with peach and white pepper.
