Walsh Distillery, located in Carlow, Ireland, was founded in 2016 by Bernard Walsh. Although relatively new to the whisky scene, the distillery quickly gained recognition for its craftsmanship. It was known for producing high-quality expressions, but unfortunately, it is currently closed. With a focus on blending and single malt whiskies, Walsh Distillery had a notable production capacity and utilized modern distillation equipment to create its spirits. The whisky character was marked by a sweet and fruity profile, complemented by spices, vanilla, and honey on the nose. On the palate, flavours of oak and caramel emerged, leading to a sweet and spicy finish. Noteworthy expressions included The Irishman The Harvest and The Irishman 12 Years, showcasing the distillery's commitment to quality and depth in flavour.
