The Lost Distillery Company is a unique Scottish whisky enterprise founded in 2013 by former Diageo employees Scott Watson and Brian Woods. Rather than distilling their own spirit, they meticulously recreate the flavour profiles of historic Scottish distilleries that were lost during the 20th century, when over 100 distilleries closed their doors forever. Working with master blenders and archivists under the direction of Professor Michael Moss of Glasgow University, they research historical records to understand what these lost whiskies might have tasted like. Their range includes recreations of Auchnagie, Gerston, Stratheden, Jericho, Towiemore, and Lossit distilleries, available in Classic, Archivist, and Vintage selections. All whiskies are bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered with no added colour.
